Sales and Marketing Coordinator for Saratoga & North Creek Railway

About the Position

The Sales & Marketing Coordinator is responsible for executing marketing activities and plans within the community surrounding the railroad which include, but are not limited to: attending regional trade shows, identifying and securing promotional opportunities, updating the website to include events and activities along the rail line, assembling content for the website, and social media and identifying earned media partnership opportunities. The Marketing Coordinator reports directly to the Sales and Marketing Manager and executes duties assigned by that person. 

The Sales & Marketing Coordinator will also be tasked with generating marketing analytic reports on a monthly basis for the SNCRR as well as for other rail properties as assigned and will be expected to become familiar with the family of railroads under the Premier Rail Collection.

Position Requirements and Qualifications

  1. -          Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, English or related field
  2. -          Experience working within a customer service role, preferably within the hospitality industry
  3. -          Ability to self-manage time efficiently and provide evidence of effective efforts
  4. -          Knowledge of web-based analytic software and ability to absorb new technology skills quickly and effectively (i.e. –    tech-savvy)
  5. -          Knowledge of the tourism landscape of the Adirondack region
  6. -          Maintain a contact database for effective local public relations program
  7. -          Attends local meetings, events, chamber mixers and shows on behalf of the SNCRR and coordinates all materials and collateral
  8. -          Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time
  9. -          Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds
  10. -          Must have access to reliable transportation
